Infographic: Employees admit to flaunting policies prohibiting BYOD

Two-thirds of employees who have personal smartphones admit to accessing corporate data from those devices, and 20 percent of those admit doing so even though there was a company policy prohibiting BYOD, according to data in an infographic compiled by cloud and mobile security firm Bitglass.

In addition, 45 percent of companies reported missing devices that had access to corporate data within the past year.

For 78 percent of corporate executives, lost or stolen devices are their top mobile security concern, followed by forwarding corporate information to cloud-based storage services (36 percent ).
