Infographic: BYOD, cloud opens firms up to data breaches

As enterprises increasingly adopt mobile and cloud technologies, they are opening themselves up to greater risks of fraud, theft and data breaches.

That is the conclusion of a survey of 400 IT decision makers conducted by identity and access management vendor SailPoint.

More than half of respondents said they had experienced a data breach, 51 percent said it was only a matter of time before another one occurs, and 52 percent said their employees had seen corporate documents that they shouldn't have.

A full 41 percent of respondents admit that they do not have control over BYOD devices, despite the fact that 82 percent allow BYOD.

Close to half of respondents are not able to get the "big picture" of security across their systems and applications, and 46 percent admit that they are not able to grant or revoke employee access to apps across their full IT infrastructure.
